Private Family Education Advisory in Tuscany

The school place is confirmed. Your family's questions do not necessarily end there. Ongoing advisory provides continuity as your child settles into a new educational environment.

When a continuing adviser is useful

You may receive a report you want to understand before replying, need to prepare for a school meeting in Italian, or be weighing several suggestions from different professionals. A continuing arrangement gives you a person who knows the agreed background and can help you organise the decision.

This can suit internationally mobile families, parents managing demanding schedules, and families whose child's development or adjustment requires careful attention. The purpose is to help parents make informed decisions and keep the relevant questions visible.

What we can agree to include

• Scheduled parent consultations: time to review priorities and consider new information.
• Preparation for school meetings: clarify the purpose, organise questions and identify what needs a written answer.
• Review of agreed documents: discuss the educational implications and questions to raise with the issuing professional.
• Follow-up after meetings: bring agreed next steps into a clear plan.
• Attendance at selected meetings: where useful, feasible and included in the engagement.

The arrangement is personal to your family. It is not an unlimited-access or emergency service, and it does not replace the school's responsibilities or your child's clinical care.

A defined arrangement from the outset

Before work starts, we agree the period of support, consultation frequency, document review, contact channels, expected response arrangements, fees and any travel. Additional work is discussed separately. This makes the relationship practical for both the family and the adviser.

Your initial enquiry does not need clinical details. Describe the decision you are facing and the type of involvement you would find useful. We can then determine whether orientation, a defined project or continuing support makes most sense.

Working with the people around your family

Some families have a relocation adviser, executive assistant, family office or private client lawyer helping with their move. We can agree their role in practical coordination, while keeping parents involved in the educational decisions and clarifying what information may be shared.

I do not contact schools or other professionals on your behalf until the purpose and scope have been agreed. Clinical, legal and educational responsibilities remain with the relevant professionals and institutions.

A developmental perspective, in English

I am Rossana Giorgi, a registered developmental therapist based in Livorno, with more than fifteen years of experience alongside children, families and schools. Alongside my work in Italy, I teach the DIR® model with ICDL to students in the United States and around the world. I offer guidance in English and Italian, with online consultations and agreed in-person work across Tuscany.

My role within this service is advisory. I do not diagnose, certify, guarantee school outcomes or offer legal representation. If a question requires a different professional, identifying that boundary is part of giving you useful guidance.
